The 2025 AUS Basketball Championships will take place at the Scotiabank Centre here in Halifax, starting today, February 28th to this Sunday, March 2nd, hosted by the AUS conference.
The event will feature a series of doubleheaders, each including one women’s and one men’s game.
The first will see Cape Breton (5th seed) facing STFX (4th seed) in the women’s quarterfinal at 1 p.m., followed by Memorial (5th) taking on UNB (4th) in the men’s quarterfinal at 3 p.m.
The evening doubleheader will feature UNB (6th) versus UPEI (3rd) in the women’s quarterfinal at 6:30 p.m., with Saint Mary’s (6th) battling Cape Breton (3rd) in the men’s quarterfinal at 8:30 p.m.
Semifinal action begins on Saturday, March 1. The first doubleheader will see the winner of Women’s Quarterfinal #1 facing top-seeded Saint Mary’s at 1 p.m., followed by the winner of Men’s Quarterfinal #1 taking on STFX (1st) at 3 p.m. In the second semifinal doubleheader, the winner of Women’s Quarterfinal #2 will challenge Acadia (2nd) at 6:30 p.m., while the men’s matchup will feature the winner of Quarterfinal #2 against UPEI (2nd) at 8:30 p.m.
The championship games will be held on this Sunday, March 2. The women’s final will take place at 1 p.m., featuring the winners of the semifinal matchups, while the men’s championship game will follow at 4 p.m. and all games will be streamed live on AUStv.
