The Halifax Mooseheads fell 3-1 to Drummondville last night to even the series at 2 games apiece in Round 1 of the best of 7 QMJHL playoffs.
Despite the loss, the Herd’s overage goalie Jacob Steinman made 51 saves for 1st Star in front of 6,223 fans.
Hammonds Plains own Owen Phillips had the lone Moose goal.
Bridgewater’s Luke Woodworth, the Voltigeurs’ Captain, had a hand in all 3 Volts goals that were scored by Drummondville native Ethan Gauthier getting a playoff hat-trick. He was a star for Team Canada at the World Juniors last Christmas.
After stealing the first two games in Quebec, the young Mooseheads now face a best of 3 situation.
Game 5 is this Friday night at 7pm here in Moose Country.

Meanwhile, the Cape Breton Eagles were blanked by the Baie-Commeau Drakkar last night at the Sydney Nest, the Drakkar now have a 3-1 series lead on the Eagles.
