You should expect some travel interruptions if you’re in downtown Halifax on the weekend.
Runners will hit the pavement for the Blue Nose Marathon on Saturday and Sunday.
Along with it, several streets will be closed, and parking will be limited. Some bus routes will be detoured, according to a news release from the city.
Police will manage traffic as runners pass by. To help reduce traffic flow, the city says any marathon participants with a race bib or volunteers with credentials can ride the bus and ferry for free on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Some of the shorter runs will also start at the Oval and bring people around Citadel Hill.
