A heavier police presence is possible in a Dartmouth community after a shooting.
Police say it happened around 9 p.m., Thursday near Charlottetown Way.
In a post on social media, Friday afternoon, Deputy Mayor Tony Mancini says many are understandably concerned.
He says police have launched an investigation are “dedicating all necessary resources to get to the bottom of what happened.”
As a result, Mancini says, there may be more police officers in the area Friday evening and throughout the weekend.
“I know this incident has many feeling uneasy. You are not alone. We are working closely with authorities and community partners to address concerns and maintain peace in our neighborhood,” says Mancini.
He adds, he plans on organizing a meeting, hopefully later next week, to discuss next steps.
