You’ve probably been relying on your pool to stay cool this summer.
You’ll want to check if it’s one of millions being recalled.
Health Canada states that this affects Bestway, Intex, and Polygroup brand above-ground pools with diameters exceeding 48 inches, sold since 2003.
The compression strap and support legs could give a child access to the pool, which poses a drowning risk.
There have been no reports of injuries in Canada, but there have been reports of three incidents in the United States, and nine children have reportedly drowned in the U.S.
The affected products were sold from:
Bestway Models (2008 – 2024)
Intex Models (2003 -2012)
Polygroup Models (2006 – 2025)

Health Canada says consumers should first determine if their pool is part of the recall, and if so, contact Bestway, Intex or Polygroup to request a repair kit.
It’s also suggested that you ensure your children cannot access the pool unattended, or drain the pool until the repair can be installed.
