An NSLC location is closing due to a major rise in thefts.
The Scotia Square store in downtown Halifax will close on Friday, February 27.
The company says the store had a 160 percent increase in thefts from April 1, 2025 to January 31 of this year.
That’s compared to a 15 percent increase across all other stores.
The NSLC says the closure is part of a regular review of their retail network to make sure they have the right stores in the right places.
They say Scotia Square also faced limited accessibility and low sales.
There are four other NSLC stores near that location.
