St. Patrick’s Day today is a worldwide celebration also known as the Feast of St. Patrick.
I’ve got my green on in honor of the Irish.
According to lore, the wearing of the green tradition dates back to a story written about St. Patrick in 1726.
(There’s just coffee in that cup, no Baileys, or is there…?)
St. Patrick used the shamrock to illustrate the Holy Trinity and worn green clothing. And while the story is unlikely to be true, we will still revel in the Irish heritage.
By the way, the first person in line at the Old Triangle on Bedford row in Halifax was there at 4am in the rain and wind, now THAT’s dedication for some green beer!
Plus there was a big lineup outside Durty Nelly’s early this morning on Argyle Street.
