Cheers to this! Labatt is spending $8 million to install a new piece of equipment called a pasteurizer at the Oland Brewery on Agricola Street in north-end Halifax.
It’s all a part of $25 million in upgrades they plan to spend on its Nova Scotia breweries.
The operation will be closed for six weeks between December and January for the installation, there’ll be no layoffs during the project.
The new equipment will greatly enhance how much beer can be pumped out — 25 per cent more cans and 10 per cent more bottles!
And the best news is there’ll be no beer shortages of any product, including Keith’s, as they’ll be making batches in advance.
Beer has been produced at the Oland Brewery on Agricola since 1905.
You know, there’s nothing like going for a stroll in the north-end when a batch is being brewed and smelling the hops in the air!
