Jill Saulnier, Halifax’s Olympic Team Canada Hockey Gold Medal Champion, was a special guest at Friday night’s Halifax Mooseheads game!
She got a warm Moose Country welcome home in front of 7,219 fans in the stands for Minor Hockey Night as she did the ceremonial puck drop.
Jill’s been home in Halifax sharing her Gold medal with fans and says she takes it everywhere she goes.
We continued our traditional bling switch, after the pic Jill said “Do you want your rings back Ian?” I replied “Do you want your Gold Medal back Jill?” Laughter ensued!
(Above Ian and Jill swap bling, Jill waves to the crowd at center ice, Peter Baylis sings O Canada Jill does puck drop with Captains.)
As the Halifax Mooseheads Public Address Announcer it’s not every day you get to introduce an Olympic Team Canada Hockey Gold Medal Champion!
