Garth Brooks only intended to make one stop in Canada during his 2022 Stadium Tour dates, but he’s changing those plans due to popular demand!
Back on Friday tickets for Garth’s upcoming Edmonton show went on sale, and just 45 minutes later, Commonwealth Stadium, which can seat a capacity of 61,000 fans, sold out.
Garth heard that fans were very disappointed that they never got tickets, so he came up with a brand-new Edmonton date so that more fans could get their chance to attend his concert.
He will play an additional show at Commonwealth Stadium on June 24th, the night before the previously-announced, sold-out concert.
Tickets for the new date go on sale this Thursday, May 12th at 10AM MT.
As of right now, these two dates are the only shows Garth is planning to play in Canada. This also marks his first time ever playing Commonwealth Stadium.
Garth played four sold out shows here in Halifax in September 1996.
I was there at the final Sunday night show where the RCMP came out on stage in their full serge and Garth asked to take one of the uniforms home for his wife at the time Sandy.
There was a huge rain storm that night, so Garth decided to play a few extra tunes.
Hopefully Garth will come back here someday!
