The Mooseheads Home opener is October 3rd and the Scotiabank Centre has announced the new normal for games.
The framework is aligned with the QMJHL return to play health and safety protocols outlined below to ensure our fans’ can safely enjoy the 2020-21 Halifax Mooseheads season.
As outlined in the provincial safety guidelines, non-medical face masks are required to be worn by all staff and guests, unless attendees are consuming food or beverage.
Getting in and out of Scotiabank Centre will be different than usual to ensure we can maintain ZONES of 200 people and keep our guests safe.
- DOORS – All seats are assigned a zone. When you purchase your ticket, you’ll be assigned a zone which includes a designated entrance into the venue.
- NO RE-ENTRY – Once a fan has exited the facility, there is no re-entry. In the case of a special circumstance or emergency, please contact an usher for assistance prior to exiting the facility.
- NO BAGS – Scotiabank Centre has implemented a no bag policy. Exceptions will be made for small, soft-sided bags and purses no larger than 14” high by 14” long and 6” wide.
- SECURITY GATES – Security gates will be in place at all entrances eliminating the need for close-contact searches.
Our seating map for this season has been designed to facilitate physical distancing, enable contact tracing, and support the health and safety of our fans. As such, the following measures will be implemented.
- TICKETS – To help create a safe and seamless experience for our fans and staff, we are moving to mobile only ticketing approach. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketatlantic.com and will be sent to you via email or text. We will have more details on how to purchase your tickets soon.
- ZONES – Physical distancing and segregated zones of no more than 200 has been incorporated into our seating plan ensuring adequate distance between each party and/or group of seats.
- BUBBLE TICKETS – Tickets will be sold in groups no fewer than 2 and no larger than 6.
- SEATS – Fans will have the option to select their seat(s) based on the size of their party. All tickets for a seat grouping must be purchased by one party member.
- PRIMARY CONTACT – As the ticket purchaser, you will be the primary contact and will need to be able to provide the names of those in your party if there is a requirement for contact tracing.
- Once you’re in the venue, you’ll stay in your assigned zone the whole time. Zones are assigned to tickets upon purchase and based on location in the venue.
- DOORS – All seats are assigned a zone. When you purchase your ticket, you’ll be assigned a zone which includes a designated entrance into the venue.
- CONCESSIONS – We will be offering a select concessions menu with service offered will be offered in each designated zone.
- WASHROOMS – There will be assigned washroom locations to minimize crossover of fans in different zones, as well as enhanced, continuous cleaning. Capacity limits will be posted, and an attendant will be stationed at each washroom location to ensure masks are worn, and capacity and physical distancing are maintained.
- DOORS – Premium seating has been divided into zones, with each zone assigned a designated entrance/exit.

- FOOD & BEVERAGE – A new enhanced menu has been developed for Premium Seating and will be made available soon. Skyboxes and executive suites are asked to place their food and beverage orders 3 days in advance.
- WASHROOMS – Each zone in Premium Seating will have its own designated washroom, capacity and physical distancing are to be maintained.
- BOXES & SUITES – The guests in a box or suite are considered a group bubble. Party members are not allowed in other boxes, suites, zones or down on the concourse level and must wear masks and maintain physical distancing in all common Premium Seating areas.

The entire season will be played against Maritime teams here in the Atlantic Bubble with seating capacity at less than 20 percent.
