The death of a Porters Lake man who barricaded himself inside a home, is not believed to be suspicious.
RCMP say it was Thursday around 4 a.m., when they received a complaint about a distressed man believed to be armed.
They learned he was inside a residence in the 1300 block of West Porters Lake Rd.
Police as well as the RCMP Critical Incident Program, Crisis Negotiation Team and police dogs were on scene and made several attempts to contact the man who did not respond.
No one else was inside at the time.
For a brief period, power was turned off in parts of the community as crews did their work.
Officers got a search warrant and found the 30-year-old dead inside the home.
The investigation is ongoing.
