The Serious Incident Response Team has cleared a Halifax Police officer of using excessive force.
It was during an arrest in January, where a man was taken to the ground in a controlled manner.
He was taken to a prisoner care facility, where he complained of pain in his arm.
It was determined the man sustained a fractured and dislocated right elbow.
SiRT was called in to investigate, and they say they found no reasonable grounds to believe the officer acted with excessive force.
