The fall session at the Nova Scotia legislature starts Tuesday.
Both the NDP and Liberals will focus on the impact of the Nova Scotia Power cyber attack, according to separate news releases.
All current and former customers of the utility could have had their data stolen by hackers after a breach in the spring.
The parties will introduce legislation to lower power bills and to hold the utility accountable.
For the NDP, that includes new laws to protect data, allow free credit freezes, and to let people recover their money when they have had their data stolen.
On top of that, the Liberals say power grid upgrades have been delayed a long time and they want to get them moving.
The Liberals are also pushing for a legal minimum age to use social media, along with fighting to improve other things for families, like health care and child care.
The Progressive Conservatives will reveal some of their plans Tuesday.
