A 53-year-old man is facing charges after an armed robbery at a Sobeys in Dartmouth.
Police say it was around 5:45 p.m., Sunday, on Wyse Road when according to staff, the man demanded money from the cash register and threatened employees with a knife.
He left the store empty handed and no one was hurt.
There were additional reports that the man was in the parking lot slashing tires.
The suspect was arrested on scene shortly after and will appear in court Monday for these charges:
- Attempted robbery
- Assault with a weapon (x2)
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
- Failure to comply with conditions of release order
