The hunt is underway for a man who escaped from the Southeast Regional Correctional Centre in Shediac, New Brunswick.
RCMP say 35-year-old Todd John Lewis escaped Thursday afternoon by jumping the fence and reportedly took off on foot towards Route 15.
Officers were not advised of the escape until around 12:30 Friday morning.

Lewis was previously charged with weapon-related offences.
He is described as around 5’7, approximately 146 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue pants, a brown coat and a black bonnet. Police believe he could be in the Greater Moncton area.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked not to approach him as he may be armed and dangerous, and to contact 911 or the New Brunswick RCMP at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).
