A 25 year old Dartmouth woman is facing 13 charges related to a January 5th shooting in Dieppe, N.B.. Morgan Connors faces charges that include pointing an airsoft gun at 2 people, shooting the gun at an officer, uttering death threats, dangerous driving and possession of brass knuckles. Connors has been remanded until Friday for a bail hearing.

Firefighters put out a small fire at the Dartmouth General Hospital yesterday afternoon. It started in a back stairwell of the building around 4:30. Patients gathered in common areas temporarily, but were able to go back to units a short time later.
The days of single use plastic bags in Halifax could be numbered. Regional council has directed staff to draft a bylaw by the end of the year that would ban the bags from being distributed by retail stores. The move comes despite recommendations that the city start with voluntary measures.
