LUKE COMBS may be dominating the charts, but it hasn’t gone to his head. He’s still willing to scoop the cat litter . . . because it needs to be done. Even when showbiz is calling.
He was talking about it at the #1 party for “She Got The Best of Me”. Quote, “Somebody showed up at my house yesterday for an interview. I was out changing the cat litter. They were just floored that I was [doing that].
“I was like, ‘I can’t have the cat’s crap all over the house just because I have a couple songs on the radio.”
He’s also smart enough to know that his hot streak will cool down. Quote, “It could all be gone tomorrow, so [I’m] just trying to enjoy the moment and not get too caught up in why it went to Number One so quick or why people want to hear it so much.”
He really feels like he’s the same guy he was in college. He says the only difference is that he has nicer boots, and people recognize him in stores.
