The puck drops on the 2019 Memorial Cup Friday night with your Halifax Mooseheads hosting the WHL champion the Prince Albert Raiders.
The Memorial Cup trophy will arrive at Halifax Harbour aboard HMCS Glace Bay at 5:30 this evening, (Thursday) accompanied by members of the 2013 Memorial Cup Champions of the Halifax Mooseheads like Trey Lewis and Konrad Abeltshauser!
You’re invited to attend the official welcome at the Cunard Lot at 1325 Lower Water Street on the Halifax Waterfront. The free event will feature the participating teams in the Memorial Cup along with special guests.
Juno and multiple ECMA Award winning musician Matt Mays will open the Memorial Cup Street Fest at 6 p.m. on Friday.
The 19+ event will feature an all-star line-up of nearly 20 Nova Scotian musical acts that will hit the outdoor stage on Arygle Street in the heart of Halifax’s entertainment district and just steps away from the Memorial Cup host arena in the heart of downtown Halifax. Makayla Lynn performs Monday and Gord Bamford on Saturday, May 25th.
The Memorial Cup Fan Zone is a family friendly interactive experience featuring; the Hockey Hall of Fame Legends exhibit, Hockey interactive games, an indoor artificial ice rink, daily hot stove event featuring NHL alumni at the Halifax Convention Centre.
