1. If you watch the Kennedy Center Honors you’ll see CARRIE UNDERWOOD sing two LINDA RONSTADT songs: “Blue Bayou” and “When Will I Be Loved”. In an interview Carrie said she loved how Linda broke the rules and sang music that was true to her, but was also a chameleon who could crossover to different genres.
The show taped a couple of nights ago and will air Sunday on CBS.
(One of Carrie’s fan sites has pics of her on the red carpet.)
2. JAKE OWEN will be doing an eight-stop acoustic tour early next year. He’s calling it Down to the Tiki Tonk . . . which is an obvious reference to “Down to the Honkytonk”. The tour kicks off February 14th in Des Moines, Iowa . . . and runs through March 15th in Mobile, Alabama. Dates and details are at JakeOwen.com.
3. THOMAS RHETT’s wife Lauren is in her third trimester and feeling very thankful that Thomas is NOT a slacker. She posted a pic of them and wrote that he’s been Santa’s elf around the house. He’s cooking, helping with the kids’ bedtimes, and even manages to take her out on a date . . . if she’s up to it.
