Ellen DeGeneres became the first person to win the special Carol Burnett Award, since the award was named after Carol last year. (Carol was seated at Ellen’s table). Ellen joked that her acceptance speech could be as long as she wanted.
Tom Hanks got emotional during his acceptance speech while receiving the Cecil B. DeMille award.
Pierce Brosnan and Will Ferrell presented a comedy award at last night’s Golden Globes. Will Ferrell couldn’t concentrate because of Brosnan’s good looks.
Brad Pitt won a Golden Globe last night for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”. He joked about his co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio, calling him “LDC” and making a reference about saving him in “Titanic”.
Ricky Gervais hosted “The 77th Annual Golden Globes” for the fifth time last night and he roasted the celebrity crowd!
