Troy was named the head coach of Hockey Canada’s national women’s team yesterday.
He’ll be bench boss for Team Canada at this spring’s women’s world hockey championship in Halifax and Truro.
He has taken over the head coaching reins of the women’s national team following the dismissal of Perry Pearn on Thursday.
The 68-year-old Pearn went 10-7 behind Canada’s bench since he was appointed head coach prior to the 2018-19 season.
Troy who turns 48 later this month, had been an assistant coach of the national women’s team since 2016.
Good luck from Hot Country 1035.
