Ed McHugh and his wife Shelly normally have the Charlie Brown Christmas tree overlooking Highway 102 in Bedford during the Holiday season, now they and their neighbours have put up a big red heart named Valery, the original meaning – brave in Latin with roots meaning health and strength.
This was the brainchild idea of their friend Ross Lloy along with friends Brad Inglis and George Shelley Purcell.
“Valery” is a tribute to all of our front-line people who allow us to live our lives as normally as we can in these troubling times.
So if you’re driving along the 102, Valery would love you to “honk the horn” for all of our front-line workers!
What a excellent way to lift our spirits and a reminder that we’re all in this together.
Thanks to Ed and the crew for this good vibe during these COVID-19 times.
