Welder and artist Wayne Smith from Salmon River, Nova Scotia has made this giant heart shaped memorial to remember the people killed in the provinces mass shooting.
You may remember him for the giant hockey stick he made for Humboldt bus tragedy.
The Broken Heart: Big heart with the break in the centre represents everyone in Colchester County, the Twenty-two red hearts represent the victims and a smaller one represents the unborn child.
If you wiggle the open metal structure it quivers to represent the heartbeat of the community.
The Heart was inspired by victim Corrie Ellison who was Wayne’s stepson, he just wanted to build something to remember those souls lost in April.
Wayne is hoping he can find a proper home for the Broken Heart memorial.
Great job Wayne.
