Starting tomorrow Liam McVarnock plans to run from the iconic Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse to the Church Memorial in Portapique in less than 24 hours!
With a support crew along to ensure his health and safety, he will cover 176 kilometres, ending in a place all Nova Scotians have had in their hearts recently.
Liam was inspired to take action by the incredible hardships Nova Scotians have encountered over the past few months, and by the resilience he witnessed in our province during this time, Liam’s a Triathlon athlete.
He chose to support Big Brothers Big Sisters with this run as he knows the challenges the organization has faced due to COVID-19.
During the run, Liam’s team will have a GPS set-up so people can follow his progress live via social media.
His team will also post hourly updates his Facebook and Instagram so you can be a part of the experience and to have a platform to cheer him on virtually. Find him under his name on social media at Liam McVarnock or for more click below:
Have a great “Big Run” Liam and drink lots of water as it’ll feel like 32 Friday in Nova Scotia!
