It ended in the 5th overtime as the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Columbus blue Jackets 3-2 last night.
The game started at 4 our time and ended around 10:30 pm becoming the 4th longest playoff game in NHL History!
Some local connections in the marathon match included NHL Referee # 19 Gord Dywer from Lower Sackville who officiated the game, Halifax born Alex Killorn plays for Tampa Bay with Paul MacLean from Antigonish an Assistant Coach for the Blue Jackets.
