Halifax Regional Police say 84 tickets have been handed out for speeding, stunting, and other driving-related offences over the last three days.
Regional police issued 55 tickets for speeding, two for stunting, and 27 for other offences, including having no insurance, expired plates, tinted windows, using cell phones, and speeding in a construction zone.
Police say an officer ticketed a 24-year-old Bedford woman with stunting Friday after her vehicle was clocked going 106 in a 50 zone on Highway 102 near Bayer’s Road.
She was suspended from driving for seven days and her vehicle was impounded.
Police are reminding motorists to slow down in construction zones and be aware of temporary speed signage.
In Nova Scotia, fines are doubled for drivers speeding in work zones and demerit points are also assigned to their driving record.
