Halifax Regional Police have handed out more fines under the Health Protection Act following two separate incidents on the long weekend.
Police were called to Citadel Hill on Saturday afternoon for a report that a small group was there as part of an illegal gathering.
HRP says the individuals were not physically distanced and they were not wearing masks. Two people were issued summary offence tickets.
Around 8 a.m. on Victoria Day, officers ticketed a person under the act for travelling to Nova Scotia. You can only enter for essential travel or if you are a permanent resident of the province.
The tickets each carry a more than $2,400 fine.
Halifax police are reminding the public to follow all rules related to COVID-19 restrictions, including a court injunction that prevents groups from staging illegal gatherings.
