The Halifax Regional Municipality has scrapped plans to hold its curbside giveaway which was set to take place next weekend. The main reason is due to the third wave of COVID-19 and the current public health restrictions in place.
The popular event is held twice a year and allows people to pluck items from the curb that others may not want.
The city is asking residents to hang onto their items until donation centres reopened.
A decision on the next curbside giveaway weekend will be made at a later date.
