The disappearance of a 32-year-old Upper Sackville man last year is being added to the province’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program.
Ryan James Jessop was last seen on the evening of September 27, 2020 in the Dartmouth Crossing area.
Family and friends have not heard from him since, and he has had no contact with anyone on social media.
“We hope by adding this case to the rewards program we will receive new information that could help provide family members and other loved ones with answers,” said Attorney General and Justice Minister Randy Delorey in a news release. “I urge anyone with information about Mr. Jessop’s disappearance to please come forward. No tip is too small.”
Before he went missing, RCMP had issued a province-wide arrest warrant for Jessop in connection with an incident in Cole Harbour on September 9th.
The Mounties said he was facing several charges including assault causing bodily harm, break and enter, and choking to overcome.
Police launched a missing person investigation into his disappearance on October 14, 2020.
Investigators believe people may have information about his disappearance that could help move the case forward.
Anyone who shares details leading to an arrest and conviction could receive up to $150,000 through the program.
