A familiar face will be the next chair of the big city mayors meetings.
Halifax’s Mike Savage will take over the role on Friday.
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities big city mayors brings together representatives from 22 of Canada’s largest cities.
They meet to discuss policy development on a range of issues affecting the country’s largest centres.
The position is currently held by Edmonton’s Don Iveson.
Savage will take over the role after the FCM Annual General Meeting on June 4.
