The shooting death of a North Preston man earlier this year is being added to the province’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program.
On January 27th, a 911 call came in reporting Quintez Downey was being transported from North Preston to the Dartmouth General Hospital with a gunshot wound.
An ambulance caught up with the vehicle on Portland Street and brought the 20-year-old to hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.
Investigators believe there are people with information that could help solve the case. The program offers a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090.
