Nova Scotia is reporting one new COVID-19 case connected to a Halifax school.
The province says Halifax West High will be closed to students until Friday to allow for a deep cleaning and for close contacts to get tested.
Students will learn from home starting on Wednesday.
An update for families and students is expected before the end of the week.
Public Health will be in touch with any close contacts and advise of the next steps. Health officials are also recommending all students and staff to get tested for COVID-19 out of an abundance of caution regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.
Only those who have been identified as a close contact or who have symptoms are required to self-isolate.
Nova Scotia reported 14 new cases of COVID-19 and 36 recoveries on Monday. The province has 182 active cases of the virus.
