A confession: I used to DREAM of auditioning for Star Search.
YES, I know I am dating myself.
I would practice dance routines on my front lawn (and I have to say, my routine to MC Hammer’s “Pray” was PARTICULARLY phenomenal).
BUT, spoiler alert; I never made it on Star Search. I also never made it onto ANY of the other talent shows that have existed since. I’ve watched sooooo many talented Nova Scotians kill it on shows like Canadian Idol, The Launch, Canada’s Got Talent and always wondered if I missed out on an AMAZING opportunity.
If you, like me, have a case of the ‘What ifs’, DON’T WORRY: WE WILL GET OUR CHANCE!!
Canada’s Got Talent is getting a reboot!!
The show will air on CityTV in spring 2022. We don’t know many details about it yet. We DO know Simon Cowell WILL be involved in some capacity, and we’re still waiting for news on a host, judges, and auditions. As SOON as I know, I’ll let YOU know!!
