Some tropical weather systems are developing along the Carolinas and forecasters say there is a small chance they will be felt in Nova Scotia.
It has led Environment Canada to issued a Tropical Cyclone Information Statement for the Halifax area.
The storm is expected to stay well off the shores of Nova Scotia,
However, the national forecasters indicates a continued strengthening of the system over the next 24-hours as it travels over warm waters before reaching the Scotian Slope.
Bob Robichaud, with the Canadian Hurricane Centre, says many areas of the province can expect rain on Tuesday which is a byproduct of the passing storms and winds up to 40 kilometres per hour despite the storm staying well offshore.
The system is expected to weaken Tuesday into Wednesday.
