Public Health is advising of a potential exposure to COVID-19 at a location in Central Zone.
Anyone who worked at or visited the following location on the specified dates and times should book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.
You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you.
For the following locations, if you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your test result. If you have symptoms you are required to self-isolate while you wait for your test result, as are the other members of your household.
- The Chicken Burger Restaurant (1531 Bedford Highway, Bedford) on:
- June 10 between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- June 11 between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- June 12 between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, June 26.
Meantime, The Chicken Burger says in a social media post they’ve closed their location until further notice due to a low risk COVID-19 exposure. The restaurant says the closure will give staff the opportunity to get tested and ensure the location undergoes a deep cleaning.
Those being tested are encouraged to sign up for email notification of negative test results.
