A pilot program buying free bus passes for disadvantaged families in Halifax has been made permanent.
The Department of Community Services pays for passes for Employment Support and Income Assistance recipients and their families.
People who already have pilot passes will get new ones through the new program. Officials say they’ve given out 85-hundred passes already.
