Well done Kara Friesen! The NSCC Business Administration student recognized an opportunity to help many Nova Scotians who were coming into hard times due to the pandemic and it’s layoffs. So Piecemeal Food Provisions was born. It provides fresh sourced in Nova Scotia food recipe kits without unnecessary packaging. The business has also been developed under a cost-sharing model to combat food insecurity issues for those who need it with help from community partners like Feed Nova Scotia. Meal kits are $40 a week, with an option to help others by paying an extra $10 a week to help close the gap for others to receive the kit.
