Halifax Regional Police are investigating two reports of shots being fired in Dartmouth.
Police were called to the 0-100 block of Churchill Court at around 5:30 Monday night, and confirmed there had been gunfire.
Shortly after midnight, an officer heard gunshots while patrolling a neighbourhood near Highway 111 at Exit 6.
Police contained the area and officers found several spent shell casings on the road.
A section of the highway was closed as they carried out the investigation, but it has since reopened.
HRP says at this time there are no reports of injuries or damage to nearby property and there is no ongoing concern for the public.
