Halifax Water says service has been temporarily restored in several communities after carrying out work in Lower Sackville.
Some customers in Lower Sackville, Waverley, Lakeview, Fall River, and Windsor Junction were impacted by water main repair work this week near the intersection of Cobequid Road and Glendale Avenue. The utility had to shut off water on Monday night as part of repair efforts.
Halifax Water says this is a temporary fix as they finalize plans for a long-term solution to ensure reliable service.
The utility adds impacted residents may be asked to voluntarily reduce non-essential water usage during some parts of the work to help reduce pressure on the system.
Crews will be working to temporarily restore the roadway on Wednesday. Outbound lane drops may occur in some sections of Cobequid Road near the Glendale Avenue intersection.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and asked to use alternate routes.
More details are expected in the coming days.
