Hockey parents around Atlantic Canada will be glad to hear East Coast Ice Jam is tentatively scheduled to return.
After being cancelled by COVID-19 last year, the tournament announced Tuesday that it is tentatively scheduled to return January 12th to 16th, 2022 at the BMO Centre in Bedford.
More details will be announced at a later date.
This is the premier hockey tournament designed to give maximum exposure for U 18 and U 15 major players here in Nova Scotia and around Atlantic Canada.
Many players that are scouted in this move on to play in the QMJHL with a few Halifax Mooseheads having been discovered.
My son Drake has officiated two Ice Jam Gold Medal Final games as a referee.
It’s nice to see the tournament come back that is great for the local economy.
