A tentative contract agreement has been reached for nearly 7,500 workers represented by the Health Care Council of Unions in Nova Scotia.
That agreement was reached late Tuesday following five days of conciliation with employers Nova Scotia Health and the IWK.
The council of unions represents workers with NSGEU, CUPE, and Unifor, including lab technicians, physiotherapists, social workers, and mental health clinicians.
NSGEU President Jason MacLean says the agreement includes a wage offer and language improvements that recognize the significant contributions of staff.
It will now be brought forward to employees for a ratification vote, which the committee is recommending.
A strike vote began on Monday after talks broke down, but has since been suspended.
