Public Health’s Mobile Units will offer COVID-19 testing in HRM and West Hants this weekend.
Health officials say testing those who have no symptoms is one of the main tools that has helped limit the spread of the virus in Nova Scotia.
Residents are reminded that even if you have mild symptoms like a sore throat, a runny/congested nose or headache, you should get tested for COVID-19.
The Mobile Units will be available for drop-in and pre-booked appointments at the following locations:
- Stella Maris Parish (6 St. Michaels Ave., Halifax)
Friday, July 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. - Lawrencetown Community Centre (3657 Lawrencetown Rd.)
Saturday, July 10 and Sunday, July 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Hants Exhibition Arena (221 Wentworth Rd., Windsor)
Sunday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It’s free and open to all ages.
Community members are encouraged to pre-book their appointments by completing the self-assessment online. If you don’t have access to the internet, call 811.
Drop-in testing is based on capacity.
