Halifax Regional Police have charged a man with with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle after a chase in Clayton Park and Fairview.
Police say officers responded to several calls about a truck driving dangerously around 5 p.m. Friday.
They say it struck an SUV on Dunbrack Street at Albert Walker Drive, causing it to flip several times.
The four occupants suffered minor injuries.
Police say officer tried to stop the truck, but the driver refused and fled the area.
They say the heavily damaged vehicle was discovered shortly after on Simcoe Place, and witnesses pointed out the driver to officers.
HRP say Peter Garth Hill, of Dartmouth, was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
Hill is charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance, Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police, Mischief, and Resisting Arrest.
He’s set to appear in court at a later date.
