Public Health is opening the Bayer’s Lake Vaccine Clinic to walk-ins to make it easier for Nova Scotians to get vaccinated.
Residents over the age of 18 are now able to stop by the clinic from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 41 Washmill Lake Road to receive their first or second dose.
Only the Moderna vaccine will be offered due to an increase in supply. Health officials say it’s interchangeable with Pfizer as they are both mRNA vaccines.
There will be 200 doses available per day for drop-ins at this clinic. You must wait 28 days between your first and second shots.
Pfizer is currently the only vaccine approved for children 12 to 17 and is not available through the drop-in clinic.
Community members will be asked to provide their health card number and ID.
