Public Health Mobile Units are offering drop-in COVID-19 testing in the Central Zone this week.
Health officials say testing people who show no symptoms has been one of the main tools that has helped to limit the spread of the virus in Nova Scotia.
Residents are encouraged to get tested for the virus, even with mild symptoms like a sore throat, a runny/congested nose, or headache.
The mobile units will be available at the following locations:
- Fisherman’s Cove (4 Government Wharf Rd., Eastern Passage) – Tuesday, July 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Halifax Transit Bridge Terminal – Outside (24 Nantucket Ave., Dartmouth) – Wednesday, July 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Halifax Transit Lacewood Terminal – Outside (320 Lacewood Dr., Halifax) – Thursday, July 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Woodside Ferry Terminal – Outside (9 Atlantic St., Dartmouth) – Friday, July 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
You do not need to self-isolate while awaiting your test results unless you have symptoms or are directly advised by Public Health to isolate.
Testing is free and available to all ages.
