Nova Scotia Health is opening the Dartmouth Community Vaccine Clinic to walk-ins to help make it easier for residents to get vaccinated.
Anyone over the age of 18 can drop in from Wednesday until Sunday to receive their first or second dose. The clinic is offering the Moderna vaccine due to an increase in the supply.
Health officials say it’s interchangeable with Pfizer as they’re both mRNA vaccines. Residents can get their second dose if it’s been 28 days or more since their first shot.
There will be 200 drop-in doses available per day at the clinic, which is located at 39 Mic Mac Boulevard, next to the Chapters in the Mic Mac Mall parking lot.
It’s open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Meantime, the Bayer’s Lake Vaccine clinic is also open to drop-ins from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 41 Washmill Lake Road.
Community members will have to provide a health card number and ID at the vaccine clinic.
