UPDATE: Environment Canada lifted the special air quality advisory late Thursday morning.
===============================
A special air quality advisory remains in place for Nova Scotia.
That’s because smoke has swept into our region from the wildfires in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and B.C.
Environment Canada expects the smoke will linger over the province throughout the day before it pushes out of the region this evening.
Until that time, smoke may descend to the ground and could reduce air quality.
