Another hazy day is expected in Halifax on Wednesday.
The special air quality statement remains in effect for all of Nova Scotia.
Environment Canada says smoke from the wildfires burning out west has spread over the province and some has neared ground level causing reduced air quality.
The sun has also taken on a reddish appearance due to the haze.
The smoke is expected to continue impacting the region until Wednesday evening.
