A 33 year-old was pulled over going nearly 70 kilometres per hour over the speed limit on Barrington Street in Halifax.
Police say they caught the guy over the lunch hour doing 117 in a 50 zone.
His vehicle has been impounded and he can’t drive for seven days.
The fine totals about $2,400.
The driver was also issued two other tickets for passing on a double line and for no insurance.
